TerraShield Recipes
It is no secret, TerraShield is fabulous at keeping the bugs away. It is a blend of Lemongrass, Thyme, Cedarwood, Geranium, and Pepperment with a sesame see oil base. All of these oils are known for repelling pests. If you love the great outdoors, TerraShield is a must! It is also safe for the whole family! (WIN!!)
Some people use TerraShield by itself to repel the bugs. They put it in the diffuser, add it to lotion and rub it in their skin, or mix it with water or witch hazel and spray it on themselves.
Others love to mix it with other powerful bug repelling oils. The great thing about these recipes are you will save your family from DEET. DEET is a great way to repel mosquitos, but there is concern about how safe it is. In this blog post I'm going to share some DEET-free recipes with you! So if you are looking for some natural alternatives, you have come to the right place!
Recipe #1
- 10 drops Purify
- 20 drops TerraShield
- 5 drops Cedarwood
- 5 drops Peppermint
- Add to a 4 oz
spray bottle and fill with water.
Recipe #2
- 20 drops Eucalyptus
- 20 drops Lemongrass
- 20 drops TerraShield
- 1 tbs fractionate coconut oil
- 1 tsp witch hazel water
- Add all ingredients to a 4 oz
spray bottle and fill with water.
Recipe #3
- 20 drops TerraShield
- 5 drops Cedarwood
- 5 drops Lemon
- 5 drops Lavender
- 3 drops Peppermint
- 1/4 cup witch hazel
- 1/4 cup water
- Add all ingredients to a 4 oz
spray bottle and shake before each use.
Recipe #4
- 20 drops Terrashield
- 10 drops Geranium
- 10 drops Lavender
- 10 drops Peppermint
- 10 drops Lemongrass
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 tbs Fractionated Coconut Oil (optional)
- Add all ingredients to a 6 oz spray bottle.
Recipe #5
- 20 drops TerraShield
- 15 drops Lemongrass
- 15 drops Lavender
- Add all ingredients to a 15 mL glass spray bottle and top off with water or fractionated coconut oil. Gently shake before each use.

- 25-30 drops Purify
- 25-30 drops TerraShield
- 20-25 drops Peppermint
- 25 drops Cedarwood
Optional
- 10 drops Lavender
- 10 drops Eucalyptus
- 10 drops Arborvitae
- Add all ingredients to a 4 oz spray bottle and top off with water. Shake gently before each use.
Recipe #7
- 40 drops TerraShield
- 40 drops Geranium
- 2 tbs witch hazel
- Add all ingredients to a 10 oz spray bottle and top with water. Shake before each use. You can add 5 drops of Rosemary to repel fleas if you use this on your pets. Spray it on your hands and then rub it on your pets.

- 20 drops TerraShield
- 5 drops Cedarwood
- 5 drops Orange
- 5 drops Lavender
- 5 drops Peppermint
- 1/4 cup witch hazel
- 1/4 cup water
- Add all ingredients to a small spray bottle and shake gently before each use.
Recipe #9
- 10 drops TerraShield
- 8 drops Lemongrass
- 5 drops Eucalyptus
- 5 drops Peppermint
- 5 drops Cedarwood
- 3 drops Tea Tree
- 2 oz of witch hazel
- Add all ingredients to a small spray bottle and shake gently before each use.
Recipe #10
This for those of you that want to try your own combos!
- 30 drops essential oils (your choice!)
- 1 ounce witch hazel
- 3 ounces pure water (distilled or boiled) or fractionated coconut oil
- Add all ingredients to a 4 oz spray bottle.
