Let's talk food. It is one of my favorite subjects. I love to cook, bake and eat! And I LOVE to meal plan for my family. Meal planning has been a lifesaver for our busy lives. At the beginning of each month I make a meal plan, trying to use up extras I have in my pantry and freezer. I cannot plan or work in a disorganized space,...and I am the queen of labels. A pantry should we be well stocked and well organized. Pantry staples that every family should have extra of...
Peanut butter
Pasta
Pasta Sauce
Honey
Canned beans/ dry beans
Canned fruits and veggies
Spices
Tuna
Chicken and beef broth
Sugar, flour, baking soda, yeast, brown sugar
Oatmeal

Keeping these things in your pantry will allow you to bake, or throw together a meal without much thought when in a hurry. Being prepared also allows you to be ready for sickness, weather, or any situation that comes your way.
How do you organize your pantry? Let me show you what works for my family. We use a plastic labeled bin on each shelf....some examples are pictured. Other ones we have are potatoes, onions, snacks, baking, dry beans, condiments, etc. To store things such as flax seeds, sugar and bulk salt we use glass jars. (I'll include links to the labels and glass jars I use at the bottom.)
It feels so frustrating to me when I open a cabinet, closet, or room that feels cluttered and disorganized. As crazy as it sounds, it gives me anxiety and weighs me down emotionally. Labels give everything a place and allow family members to help put things where they should go. I am in a continual cycle of purging, organizing, and labeling.
I hope this is helpful to you as you strive to have a clutter free, organized home. Sending love to all the mommas out there who work so hard to care for their home and family! XOXO Jen
