The Pandemics Facing America
As I sit here on Christmas Eve with my Ho Ho Mint Mocha from Caribou Coffee and a few minutes of quiet before the crazy....thoughts are swirling in my head.
We will soon be done with 2020. A new year, a new start, and a clean slate for 2021.
This is the year I hope we can face some of the PANDEMICS facing America.
ISOLATION - is not healthy at any age. We were created for community, and we need human interaction. Isolation affects our mental and emotional health.
FEAR - "Fear is the opposite of love" I learned that from a Pastor , counselor friend this week. When we live in fear, we rob God of the Pover he has in our lives. God has not given us a spirit of fear, and living in fear is not of him. Fear also lowers the immune system and quality of life.
THE MEDIA - The mainstream media is NOT your friend. Anyone can be bought, politicians, scientists and especially the media. The media used to be a source of news and reporting. It has become nothing but paid entertainment to the highest bidder. Agenda are pushed, and fear is spread. The BEST thing you can do in 2021.... Put your phone down. DO NOT listen to mainstream media. Research ALL things for yourself.
THE LOVE OF MONEY AND POWER ADDICTIONS OF OUR POLITICIANS - It is critical that we know who we are electing; Who their friends are; Who they are funded by; What their track record is; and What they have voted for in the past. Don't be fooled by a charismatic personality or pretty commercials. Don't be fooled by the name of the political party they associate with.
LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF UNITED STATES HISTORY - the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Other than scripture, this is THE single most important literature you can read and explain to your children, Teach it as it is. With no agenda. Just teach them what their country is founded on, and what their God given rights are.
FORGETFULNESS - We have forgotten that the elected officials WORK FOR US. They do not control us. They are our employees, PAID with tax money to represent us. Don't ever forget that.
LOSS OF VOICE - So many Americans are afraid to stand up, use their voice, and speak truth. People are so afraid of ridicule or what others will think. I am so thankful the brave men and women in 1776 weren't afraid to speak up. Let's be like them.
COMPLACENCY - People have gotten too busy, tired, and lazy to go look things up for themselves. They believe what any " expert,” news station, or website tells them. THIS MUST STOP. We must think for ourselves.
America. Wake up! The alarm is going off, and time is short if you don't. It's time to face these pandemics head on, and stand for truth as our forefathers and brave ancestors did.
