Deep Blue

I can't believe I haven't written a blog post on Deep Blue yet. These products are AMAZING. They are often the "gateway" product for people's love of doTERRA. Deep Blue is a blend of Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile, and Osmanthus oils. It is a soothing and cooling blend. Think icy hot...except with Deep Blue you know exactly what is in it and that it is safe for your body. What do each of the oils do? Read on!
- Wintergreen: has soothing properties of methyl salicylate.
- Peppermint: has a sweet scent that creates an exhilarating environment during physical activity and is also cooling.
- Eucalyptus: helps creates a calming atmosphere and supplies a cooling sensation for the skin.
- Blue Tansy: contains a chemical component called sabinene. This may help diminish the appearance of blemishes.
- Ylang Ylang: nourishes and protects the skin.
- Helichrysum: is known for its restorative properties. It is often used in antiaging products because of its skin-rejuvenating benefits.
People often know about Deep Blue Oil or Deep Blue Rub, but did you know there are two other products in the Deep Blue family? Let's take a look at all four.

Deep Blue Oil
Deep Blue Oil is a blend of the oils mentioned above diluted in a carrier oil. It is a wonderful addition to a massage or the perfect end to a long day. Whether you have been working in the garden, sitting at the computer, moving, or attending a big event...Deep Blue can help provide a soothing effect. You can massage it into whatever body part is feeling the strain - your hands, feet, knees, back, legs, wherever is fatigued from a long day. If you are wondering how to relieve lower back pain while sleeping, just massage Deep Blue into your lower back before heading to bed.
Another great use for Deep Blue is to rub it over your chest for respiratory support. You can dilute it with a little carrier oil and then apply it to the chest. Breathe in the aroma to help open your airways.

Deep Blue Rub
Deep Blue Rub is a natural alternative to icy hot. It is a topical rub containing Deep Blue Oil. It also contains a base of moisturizing emollients. This will help leave your skin feeling soft and not greasy. Just like the oil you can rub it into body parts that are feeling strain and fatigue. After using Deep Blue make sure you wash your hands. It can be irritating to eyes and other sensitive body parts.

Deep Blue Stick
This is one of my personal favorites. It is the Deep Blue Rub in stick format so you can apply it without getting it on your hands. It is a convenient muscle soother. Another great benefit of the stick is it also includes Copaiba. Copaiba promotes clear, smooth skin, and it may also provide some pain relief. Some studies show it may have anti-inflammatory benefits. Make sure you do not use it on wounds or damaged skin as it could cause irritation. The site also advises not to use it with a heating pad.

Deep Blue Polyphenol Complex
This is an ingestible form of Deep Blue. It includes the polyphenol extracts of frankincense, turmeric, green tea, ginger, pomegranate, and grapeseed. It was made to provide soothing support to aching muscles and other occasional discomforts. You can take this as needed when discomfort is present or every day for long-lasting benefits. You can take one in the morning and one in the evening with meals.

So there you have it. Four wonderful ways to benefit from Deep Blue. Have you tried them all? If not which one do you want to try?
